member squad: Cricket Australia has announced the team for the first two
matches of the four-Test series against India.
Melbourne: Cricket Australia has
announced a 14-member team for the first two matches of the four-Test series
against India starting on December 6. In the announced team, Victoria batsman
Marcus Harris has been included, while veteran player Matt Renshaw has ignored
the selection committee. After the team's announcement, national selector
Trevor Houns said, "Harris has got a place in the team on the strength of
his ability. In Victoria's Sheffield Shield, he has got a place in the team to
start and maintain the best. Not only did he make good runs, but he also gave
evidence of the mental strength of the importance of Test cricket.
The team's command is in the hands of Tim Penn.
Apart from this, Peter Handscomb has also been recalled in the team. It is
